  • 在台北地區採集水樣及土壤分離壺菌。經觀察及鑑定
    為九種單中心壺菌和一種多中心壺菌,這些壺菌包括毛囊
    根生壺菌(~u2;Rhizophydium~u1; ~u2;chaetiferum~u1; Sparrow)、球囊根
    生壺菌 (~u2;R.~u1; ~u2;sphaerocarpum~u1; (Zopf) Fischer var.
    ~u2;sphaerocarpum~u1; Barr)、球孢根生壺菌(~u2;R.~u1; ~u2;sphaerotheca~u1;
    Zopf)、海舒根生壺菌(~u2;R.~u1; ~u2;haynaldii~u1; (Schaarschmidt)
    Fischer)、霍爾囊壺菌(~u2;Phlyctochytrium~u1; ~u2;hallii~u1; Couch)
    、新月藻囊壺菌(~u2;P.~u1; ~u2;closterii~u1; Karling)、透明外孢壺菌
    (~u2;Chytriomyces~u1; ~u2;hyalinus~u1; Karling)、 粗根內壺菌
    (~u2;Entophlyctis~u1; ~u2;bulligera~u1; (Zopf) Fischer)、 球囊菌
    ~u2;Rhizoclosmatium~u1; ~u2;globosum~u1; H. E. Patersen) 以及外曲
    歧壺菌 (~u2;Cladochytrium~u1; ~u2;replicatum~u1; Karling)。 其中毛
    囊根生壺菌、海舒根生壺菌、霍爾囊壺菌、新月藻囊壺菌
    、粗根內壺菌和透明外孢壺菌是臺灣的新記錄種。
    此外,並進一步進行記述和圖說明各純化菌種在蝦殼
    、賽珞芬、洋蔥表皮、松樹花粉及半合成培養基─ 1/4愛
    默生(YpSs)洋菜培養基和YPD 液體培養基上之形態觀察及
    比較。本實驗驗證了壺菌在不同的基質培養時,用以區分
    壺菌分類群的菌體各特徵:囊蓋的有無、菌體和基質的相
    關位置、孢子囊的大小和形狀、囊托的形狀、假根、釋放
    乳突 (管) 的數目和長度有變異存在。而游孢子形狀、油
    滴數目則表現穩定。我們必需徹底瞭解壺菌在不同培養環
    境下的形態變異範圍,尋找有效而且穩定的分類特徵才能
    進一步修正、廢除或合併壺菌之分類群。

    Nine monocentric chytrid species of the genera
    ~u2;Rhizophydium~u1;, ~u2;Phlyctochytrium~u1;, ~u2;Chytriomyces~u1;,
    ~u2;Rhizoclosmatium~u1;, ~u2;Entophlyctis~u1;, and one polycentric
    species of the genus ~u2;Cladochytrium~u1; were isolated
    by using various baits from freshwater and soils
    collected from Taipei City and its district.
    They are examined and indentified, namely,
    ~u2;Rhizophydium~u1; ~u2;chaetiferum~u1; Sparrow, ~u2;R~u1;. ~u2;haynaldii~u1;
    (Schaarschmidt) Fischer, ~u2;R~u1;. ~u2;sphaerocarpum~u1; (Zopf)
    Fischer var ~u2;sphaerocarpum~u1; Barr, ~u2;R~u1;. ~u2;sphaerotheca~u1;
    Zopf, ~u2;Phlyctochytrium~u1; ~u2;hallii~u1; Couch, ~u2;P~u1;.
    ~u2;closterii~u1; Karling, ~u2;Chytriomyces~u1; ~u2;
    hyalinus~u1; Karling,
    ~u2;Entophlyctis~u1; ~u2;bulligera~u1; (Zopf) Fischer,
    ~u2;Rhizoclosmatium~u1; ~u2;globosum~u1; H. E. Petersen and
    ~u2;Cladochytrium~u1; ~u2; replicatum~u1; Karling. Among these,
    ~u2;R.~u1; ~u2;chaetiferum~u1;, ~u2;R~u1;. ~u2;haynaldii~u1;,
    ~u2;P.~u1; ~u2;hallii~u1; ,~u2;P~u1;. ~u2;closterii~u1;, ~u2;C.
    ~u1; ~u2;hyalinus~u1; and ~u2;E.~u1; ~u2;bulligera~u1; were
    described as new records to Taiwan.
    Results of the morphological observations and
    comparisons of these fungi on shrimp exoskeleton,
    cellophane, onion skin, pine pollen and semi-
    synthetic medium ─ 1/4 YpSs Emerson's agar medium
    and YPD broth medium were described and
    illustrated. This experiment reconfirms the
    variability of the characters used to distinguish
    the chytrid taxa. Among these are operculation;
    substrate relations; sporangium size and shape;
    apophysis presence and shape; rhizoidal nature and
    discharge pore (tube) number etc. Zoospore shape
    and globule number are more stable than the other
    characters. More researches regarding to
    variations of morphology which existing in
    different culture conditions must be carried out
    in order to find the valid and more stable
    characters for taxonomic purpose before we revise,
    abandon and/or combine the taxa of chytridiaceous
    fungi.
