研究者在剛踏入一個領域進行知識探索時,常會碰到許多的困難;研究者不知道領域的知識有哪些,比如說領域知識的主題概念、使用的詞彙等,所以很難進行深入探索;即使在資訊傳遞發達的時代,人們常利用搜尋引擎進行搜尋資訊的動作,但在不知道明確的搜尋目標,以及不知道可以使用的搜尋關鍵字有哪些的影響因素下,研究者要找尋到需要的知識內容非常困難。而且利用搜尋引擎找到的資訊多是無條理、混亂的資訊內容,研究者很難判斷哪些資訊才是需要的。碰到這樣的問題,一般人的反應就是詢問有經驗的研究者,但是要問誰呢?誰也跟自己研究同一領域的知識?假如沒有熟悉的管道,研究者往往無法順利找到可以詢問的對象。
為了解決上述研究者在初踏入新的研究領域進行知識探索時所遇到的困境,本研究欲提出一個概念與方法,以協同合作模式讓研究者共同創造領域內的知識內容與建造領域的知識結構,以保存單一研究領域的知識,並提供研究者方便查詢、瀏覽的領域知識結構,使研究者可以憑藉著其他研究者的知識經驗,順利完成自身的研究。
本研究以資訊架構領域作為建構領域知識結構的實例,讓熟悉資訊架構領域的研究者透過Wiki協作平台做為知識分享的環境,研究者可以在平台上進行閱讀心得、研究論文的分享及共筆主題知識的撰寫,產生相互的交流共鳴,並因為閱讀其他研究者的心得、經驗找尋到有用的參考文獻,節省搜尋的時間。而研究者分享出來的知識文章與註記的概念關鍵字,在經過整理與分析後,成為知識組織的元素。再透過界定各關鍵字的語意關係,作為描述知識概念間的連結,並以主題地圖技術建構領域的知識結構,以突顯領域內應包含的知識內容。最後回饋給平台呈現分類架構,讓研究者能進行查詢、取用,以加速研究的發想、創造新的知識。
When researchers first time enter a totally new field of knowledge and want to explore it, they often encounter many difficulties. The researchers do not know what kind of themes, concepts and glossaries are included in this field of knowledge, so it’s hard for them to conduct an in-depth exploration. In an era of rapid information flow, people often use search engines to find the information they want. But when the researchers have no idea about the specific searching objectives and do not know what keywords they can use to search, it is difficult for them to find the material that they really need. What’s more, the information they found through the search engines is mostly not only incoherent but also confusing data, the researcher have difficulties deciding which information is needed. When encountering this kind of problem, most people tend to inquire other experienced researchers. But there comes another problem. Whom should they ask? Who is also studying the same field of knowledge? If the researchers are not so familiar with this field, they may not successfully find a suitable person to inquiry.
In order to solve the problems which researchers may encounter in exploring new fields of knowledge, this research presents a concept and a method: using collaborative mode for researchers to create the content in the field of knowledge and construct the structure of field of knowledge. This method can preserve a single field of knowledge and provide researchers an easy way to inquiry and browse the field of knowledge structure, so that researchers can rely on the specialized knowledge and the experiences from other researchers to complete their researches successfully.
This research takes the knowledge in the field of information architecture as a case study. Researchers who are familiar with the field of information architecture use wiki platform as a knowledge sharing environment. They can use wiki to share their personal experiences after reading papers or to share their personal research papers. They can even write topic knowledge with other researchers. The researchers can save their own time searching information because they can learn some experiences from other researchers and also get useful reference documents through the platform. After finishing the analyses, the articles the researchers shared and the keywords they noted will be the elements of knowledge organization. Then define the semantic relations between keywords which described in the link between the knowledge concepts. And use Topic Maps technology to construct the structure of domain knowledge with a view to highlighting the field of knowledge which should be included in the content.
Finally, those knowledge structures will be recorded in the platform and be presented as classification structures. The platform allows researchers to inquiry about the information they want and access to knowledge, so that researchers can accelerate their research and create new knowledge as well.
