本研究旨在建立碳六十壓電晶體氣體及液體有機物感測系統,並用於探討碳六十與各種有機物親和力。本研究分為有機氣體與液體壓電感測兩大部份,第一部份將C60塗佈於石英壓電感測器上作為氣體偵測器用以偵測吸附於C60上的有機氣體,利用石英微量天平振盪頻率對表面微小質量變化之靈敏感應,偵測氣體分子吸附於C60上所引起之重量及頻率改變,並同時將β-carotene與pyrene塗佈在石英壓電感測器上,研究三種不同形態雙鍵之間的差異性。第二部份為探討C60與高碳數值(高沸點)液體有機化合物之吸附行為,將塗佈C60之石英壓電感測器放入液相中以偵測吸附於C60上的有機液體分子。系統之石英微量天平感測器經由振盪線路啟動並經介面系統連接到個人電腦(IBM PC)擷取數據並儲存。
在第一部分氣相感測器研究探討中C60、β-carotene與pyrene等石英晶體塗佈物對各類不同官能基之有機氣體份子如醛(aldehydes)、酸(acids)、胺(amines)、酮(ketones)、醇(alcohols)…等之親和力。發現這些塗佈物對於各種化合物親和力大小為:β-carotene>C60>pyrene。而C60塗佈物對有機氣體分子之選擇性為:酸>醛>胺>醇>酮,其中僅有胺類氣體分子與C60發生化學吸附其餘為物理吸附。
Fullerene(C60) coated piezoelectric quartz crystal membrane detectors in the gas and liquid systems, were prepared and applied the interaction between fullerene and various organic molecules.This study included two parts.Firstly, fullerene (C60) coated piezoelectric quartz crystal membrane gas detector was designed to detect organic vapors adsorbed on C60/quartz membrane, which compare with β-carotene and pyrene simultaneously.Secondly, fullerene coated piezoelectric liquid detector was prepared for long carbon chain organic molecules.Sensor with a home -made microcomputer interface for signal acquisition and data processing.
In the study with piezoelectric gas detector, the affinity of C60 to organic molecules with various function group, e.g. aldehydes(RCHO), ketones(RCOR'), acids(RCOOH), amines(RNH2), alcohols(ROH) was investigated.The sensitivity for various coating material was found to be in the order: β-carotene>C60>pyrene.The selectivity order of C60 coated crystal for various organic molecules seems to be in the order:Acid>Aldehyde>Amine>Alcohol>Ketone.Only amines seem to perform chemical adsorption on C60 piezoelectric membrane while physical adsorption is found in all another cases.The selectivity of β-carotene for various organic molecules was toi be in the order:Acid>Aldehyde>Amine>Alcohol>Ketone.Aldehydes and amines seem to perform chemical adsorption.All these organic molecules are extremely weak affinity to pyrene with physical adsorption.The adsorbed ability of alkyne on C60, β-carotene and pyrene membrane is much greater than alkenes or alkanes.The adsorption rate of various organic molecules with these coating materials was also investigated and showed to be in the order:C60>β-carotene>pyrene.
The selectivities of C60、βl-carotene and pyrene coated crytals for various organic molecules in the gas flow system.Showed quite in accordance with that in the stationary system.The sensitivity of O3 pre-reacted C60、β-carotene and pyrene coated crystals for various organic molecules in the flow system was also investigated.
In the study with liquid piezoelectric detector, Fullerene (C60) coated piezoelectric quartz crystal liquid detector was prepared and applied to detect various long carbon chain organic molecules in solutions.The selectivity of C60 coated crystal seems to be in the order: Amine>Acid>Aldehyde>Ketone.In addition, the longer carbon chain molecules exhibited the greater frequency shift probably due to stronger adsorption on the quartz crystal.
