本文以鄧金圖的觀點研究大統一模型SO(10)的李代數結構及相關的表示論
、分支律,並且探討SO(10)破缺成標準模型SU(3)c×SU(2)l×U(1)y的可能
路徑,特別是針對SO(10)的二階破缺路徑,利用最近從CERN e﹢e﹣對撞
機LEP所獲得有關耦合常數的新資料,經由重正化群方程解得統一能標Mu及
中間能標Mi,並進一步討論這兩個能標在物理現象上的重要涵意。具有超
對稱的SO(10)對於這兩個能標的預測所造成的影響亦略加論及。
We use Dynkin diagram to analyze the Lie algebra structure,
representation theory and branching rules of grand unified
model SO(10). The possible breaking chains of SO(10) to the
standard model are presented, especially the two-step breaking
chain.Using the gauge coupling constants at the Mz scale
derived from recent data from the CERN e﹢e﹣ collider LEP,
the unified scale Mu and the intermediate scale Mi are
determined through one-loop and two-loop renormalization group
equations. The important phenomenological implication of these
two scales and the prediction change for them in supersymmetric
SO(10) are also discussed.
