On May 15, 2020, the Ministry of Education of Taiwan responded to the United Nations' International Day of Families by setting the theme of that day as "Work and Family" to join hands with businesses to advocate family friendly environment at workplace. This study focused on parenting education in family education, targeting parents who have children under 18 years old and are employed. It examined their intention to participate in “parenting education at workplace” and analyzed the effect of parenting self-efficacy on such participation intent by applying an integrated model of behavioral prediction. This study adopted the survey method to collect data through online questionnaire (N = 458). The results showed that the level of education could affect the intention to participate in workplace parenting education. Parents with a lower educational attainment were significantly less inclined to participate than those with a university degree or a master's or doctoral degree. However, there were no significant differences in intention to participate among factors like gender, working hours, marital status, number of children and minimum age of children. Furthermore, parenting self-efficacy had a positive effect on the intention to participate in workplace parenting education, especially in affectionate and disciplinary aspects. Overall, the integrated model for predicting responsive behavior has proven that parenting self-efficacy was indeed an important factor affecting the intention to participate in workplace parenting education.
