The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between presenteeism and emotional exhaustion, and the moderating mechanisms of surface acting and deep acting. Taking Taiwanese working workers as the research object, through the questionnaire survey method, the data was collected by convenience sampling. A total of 512 questionnaires were distributed in this study, and 415 valid questionnaires were recovered. The results show that there is a positive relationship between presenteeism and emotional exhaustion; surface acting has a moderating effect of strengthening the positive relationship between presenteeism and emotional exhaustion; deep acting has no moderating effect of strengthening the positive relationship between presenteeism and emotional exhaustion. Finally, the research results are discussed, and management practice and future research suggestions are put forward respectively.
