  • 二十世紀許多音樂上的新思潮蓬勃發展,而在後現代主義(Post-Modernism)中,為反動極為複雜的完全序列主義(Integral Serialism),在七○至八○年代,美國興起的極限主義(Minimalism),音樂開始回歸到調性,而作曲家賈克曼(Jacob Druckman, 1928-1996)提出的口號,「從一九六八年開始,新浪漫主義?」,「新浪漫主義」(Neo-Romanticism)的名詞因而誕生,此風格洋溢著音樂主觀與熱情,具有作曲家個人的情感與獨特性,經常使用引用與拚貼的手法,像是作曲家的對於時間、歷史、記憶或品味的一種記錄。
    本論文主要是以新浪漫主義之風格為切入點,探討作曲家在音樂創作的想法與心境,以及作曲的理念,最後介紹自我創作的作品。論文共分為六章,包括第一章前言,陳述了論文大致的架構;第二、三章,探討1970年後的美國音樂,極限音樂回歸調性的思潮,新浪漫主義的興起與發展;第四章則舉了四位作曲家為例,分別是羅克伯(George Rochberg, 1918-)、戴爾崔迪西(David Del Tredici, 1937-)、艾伯特(Stephen Albert, 1941-1992)與柯瑞良諾(John Corigliano, 1938-),分別各舉了一首作品做簡要的介紹與評析;第五章則為個人的創作作品分析,以此風格做為創作的理念與實踐;第六章則為此論文之結論。
    由於國內對於1970年後應運而生的新浪漫主義,鮮少有任何論文研究,希冀此論文能為此風格勾勒出中文論著的起點,並為個人創作之作品尋找出一條新的方向與出路。
