本研究之主要目的是探討大學生的身體意象、負面自我意識情緒與運動參與程度之關係。研究對象為國內北、中、南、東部各一所大專校院,共計522名大學生,其中男生251位,女生271位,平均年齡20.2歲,平均身高166.27公分,平均體重60.69公斤。研究工具包括個人基本資料問卷、身體意象量表、身體相關羞愧與內疚量表 ( WEB-SG )及運動參與程度問卷。統計方法為描述統計、獨立樣本t考驗、單因子變異數分析、多元階層迴歸,所得結果如下:
男、女大學生以標準體型者佔大多數。男大學生的運動參與程度高於女大學生。女大學生的負面自我意識情緒身體相關羞愧及內疚情緒皆高於男大學生。男大學生的運動參與程度高於女大學生。
在男大學生體型部分,標準體型者其身體意象滿意度高於肥胖體型;肥胖體型者其負面自我意識情緒身體相關羞愧情緒部分高於標準體型;過輕體型者其負面自我意識情緒身體相關內疚情緒低於過重體型、肥胖體型;標準體型者其負面自我意識情緒身體相關內疚情緒低於過重體型。在女大學生體型部分,過輕體型者其身體滿意度高於過重體型及肥胖體型;標準體型者其身體意象滿意度高於肥胖體型;過輕體型者其負面自我意識情緒身體相關羞愧情緒及內疚情緒低於標準體型、過重體型與肥胖體型。不同體型的男女大學生其運動參與程度沒有不同。
男大學生和女大學生的身體意象、身體相關羞愧情緒對於運動參與程度無調節作用存在。男大學生的身體意象預測運動參與程度部分達顯著水準,顯示身體意象滿意度愈高其運動參與程度也愈高。男大學生的身體意象、身體相關內疚情緒對於運動參與程度沒有調節作用。但男大學生的身體意象及身體相關內疚情緒對運動參與程度部分達顯著水準,顯示身體意象及身體相關內疚情緒愈高其運動參與程度愈高。而女大學生的身體意象、身體相關內疚情緒對於運動參與程度具有調節作用存在。女大學生的身體意象、身體相關內疚情緒及兩者的交互作用可以預測運動參與程度。高身體意象者和低身體意象者皆會隨著身體相關內疚情緒的增加而呈現出較高的運動參與程度,其中,身體相關內疚情緒特別對高身體意象的運動參與程度具有明顯的調節作用。
