二十一世紀可說是生物科技的時代,生物科技的應用及產物充斥在現代生活當中,面對這一門具科學、倫理複雜概念的學門所引發的社會科學性議題,這些具爭議性的問題現代的學生需具備相關的知識才足以應付。本研究目的在了解台北市七年級、高一、高二學生生物科技知識與態度現況。本研究採用地區性調查研究方式,以自編「中學生對生物科技知識與態度調查問卷」為工具,分層叢集隨機取樣台北市公立國中、高中學生,有效問卷3066份,含男性1555人、女性1511人,在95%信心水準下,抽樣誤差在2.88~3.16個百分點間。利用描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析、迴歸分析、Pearson積差相關進行資料分析。結果發現:台北市中學生的生物科技態度整體而言為正向態度,而且在性別上有顯著差異;生物科技訊息大多來自教科書(16.0%)、教師(14.2%)及網路(11.3%)。台北市中學生不同年級的生物科技知識與態度呈正相關。根據研究結果,建議台灣有發展生物科技知識及態度量表的必要性,且需重視中等教育生物科技課程的內容編排,並適時觀察學生對生物科技知識及態度的變化。
The 21st Century is considered the time of biotechnology era containing scientific and moral concepts and its applications and products will be full of our daily life. The present generation students have to be provided enough knowledge of biotechnology to deal with controversial issues. In this study, high school students in Taipei city were surveyed on their knowledge and attitude toward biotechnology and self-compiled Biotechnology Knowledge Questionnaire (BTKQ) and Biotechnology Attitude Questionnaire (BTAQ) were used. Stratified cluster random sampling obtained from public high school students was studied. The valid questionnaire were 3066, including 1555 males and 1511 females. Confidence interval was 2.88~3.16% in confidence level of 95%. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent-sample t test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. The result revealed that total students’ attitudes toward biotechnology tended to be positive, and there was a significant difference in genders. Sources of biotechnology came from textbook (16.0%), teacher (14.2%), and internet (11.3%). Knowledge toward biotechnology was increasing with the students’ grade level with a significant positive correlation between attitude and the level of knowledge. Based on the results, it is essential to development an instrument to measure high school students’ knowledge and attitude toward biotechnology in Taiwan. Meanwhile, biotechnology curriculum in high school education should be emphasized and students’ knowledge and attitude toward biotechnology change should be
observed timely.
