Based on the dynamic capability theory, this study takes ambidexterity and organizational agility as antecedents, digital innovation as consequence, and technological readiness of digital transformation as the mediating effect. From the perspective of the organizational level, this study tries to understand that under the trend of digital transformation, the relationships among ambidexterity, organizational agility, the technological readiness of digital transformation, and digital innovation.
In this study, the research object was Taiwanese companies. 2016 questionnaires were conducted on paper and online questionnaires by a random survey. A total of 86 valid questionnaires were collected via email and 80 valid questionnaires were collected online. Therefore, there were 166 valid questionnaires. SPSS23 and JASP statistical software were used to carry out narrative statistics, correlation analysis, reliability and validity analysis, structural equation model analysis, and difference
analysis.
The results of the study show that: (1) Ambidexterity has a positive impact on technological readiness of digital transformation; (2) Organizational agility has a positive impact on technological readiness of digital transformation; (3) Technological readiness of digital transformation has a positive impact on digital innovation, (4) Technological readiness of digital transformation has a mediating effect between ambidexterity, organizational agility, and digital innovation, (5) ambidexterity has a positive impact on digital innovation, (6) Organizational agility has a positive impact on digital innovation.
Following the above research results, this study puts forward the relevant management practice implications of the suggestions. If companies want to improve digital innovation, they must adjust the organization and optimize themselves in a timely and flexible manner, and externally, they must continue to explore new competitive advantages, pay attention to the transformation brought about by technology, and maintain a positive attitude to adopt technology, to achieve the goal of maximizing the benefits of digital transformation.
