  • Due to advancements in technology and the internet, privacy and security have become increasingly important concerns in the digital era. As a result, people are seeking ways to address these issues, and the solution known as "Blockchain" has emerged. Blockchain not only offers solutions to these problems but also has the potential to improve and transform various aspects of our lives. Nowadays, blockchain technology is widely utilized in different fields such as finance, public and social services, the internet of things (IoT), security and privacy, reputation systems, global public health, marketing, management, healthcare, accounting, and manufacturing. This research aims to evaluate the expansion of blockchain applications in various business functions such as Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology and Supply Chain.
    To achieve this, a bibliometric analysis is used, which includes performance analysis and science mapping techniques (co-citations, co-word and co-authorship). The result indicates that the most influential themes in the field of blockchain research are associated with the Internet of Things, Supply Chain, and Health Care. Additionally, it is worth noting that the current research trends in this particular field revolve around the Internet of Things, information management, and supply chain management. These are the predominant areas that researchers have been concentrating on. Looking ahead, future research efforts can continue to delve into these established trends. However, it is also important to acknowledge the emergence of a new trend in recent years, which is the exploration of sustainability and environmental technology. Researchers are encouraged to further investigate this area and explore the potential of blockchain technology in promoting sustainability and addressing environmental challenges.
