  • 鰈形目(PLEURONECTIFORMES)包含鰜科(Psettodidae)、棘鮃科(Citharidae)、鮃科(Bothidae)、無臂鮃科(Achiropsettidae)、菱鮃科(Scophthalmidae舊稱圓鮃)、牙鮃科(Paralichthyidae)、鰈科(Pleuronectidae)、冠鰈科(Samaridae)、鰨科(Soleidae)、無臂鰨科(Achiridae)、舌鰨科(Cynoglossidae)(Nelson,1994),依據先前之骨學與形態學資料,對於各科發生順序看法不一,且亞科與科的分類也存有爭議。此外,仍無法確知其起源為鱸形目中之哪一科,亦無法確知是否為單系群。本研究以粒線體之16S核糖體RNA的序列,針對[Stem+Loop]與[Stem]區段分別分析所構築之Minimun Evolution、Maximum Parsimony 親緣關係樹圖皆呈現一致性,鰈形目最近緣的類群應為鱸形目的鰺科魚類(Carangidae),且鰺科魚類使鰈形目魚類呈現並系群之狀態。依據本研究結果,冠鰈科、牙鮃科與無臂鰨科將應可獨立為一科,另外,對於鰈形目之棘鮃科、菱鮃科、無臂鰨科、鮃科、冠鰈科的發生順序也提出新的看法。
