史特拉溫斯基 (Igor Stravinsky, 1882-1971) 是二十世紀音樂樂壇深具創造力的代表性人物,為鋼琴家、指揮家、作曲家於一身。史特拉溫斯基的音樂曲種繁多,從小編制如鋼琴曲、器樂、聲樂、室內樂,再到大編制的交響曲、歌劇、神劇、芭蕾舞劇等;音樂風格包含早期俄羅斯風格、中期新古典主義再到晚期的序列主義,其內容包羅萬象、變化萬千,並以大型芭蕾舞劇揚名國際,是一位現代音樂深具貢獻的俄國音樂家。
1920年史特拉溫斯基與俄羅斯芭蕾舞團的創辦人戴雅吉列夫 (Sergei Diaghilev, 1872-1929) 共同合作創作出芭蕾舞劇《普欽內拉》(Pulcinella, 1920),並於1933年與小提琴家杜希金 (Samuel Dushkin, 1891-1976) 共同改編成給小提琴與鋼琴的《義大利組曲》(Suite Italienne for Violin and Piano, 1933),曲中引用十七世紀義大利巴洛克作曲家裴高雷西 (Giovanni Pergolesi, 1710-1736)、葛雷 (Domenico Gallo, 1730-1768) 等人的音樂加以改編,曲中除了有巴洛克時期的創作手法也加入了史特拉溫斯基獨特的現代音樂語言,形成一種復古又創新的趣味性,此曲也成為史特拉溫斯基「新古典主義」(Neoclassicism) 風格的代表之作。
本詮釋報告先針對史特拉溫斯基的生平及三個時期的音樂風格作說明,再針對《普欽內拉》與《義大利組曲》的創作背景個別說明,接著深入剖析《義大利組曲》的曲式與鋼琴合作上的音樂詮釋,並加入筆者在練習時的想法和建議,最後結論出史特拉溫斯基在《義大利組曲》中音樂創作上的特殊手法。
Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) is a creative and influential figure in 20th century music, as a pianist, a conductor, and a composer. His music is various, including piano , instrumental , vocal , chamber music, symphonies and several large establishments, operas, oratorios, ballets and so on. Stravinsky’s early works belong to early Russian style; in his mid-career, he turns to Neoclassicism and to the Serialism in his late works. His compositions are comprehensive, and ever-changing, they not only won international fame but also made a great contribution to modern Russian music.
In 1920, Stravinsky composed the ballet ”Pulcinella” with Sergei Diaghilev (1872-1929), the manager of Russian ballet. The work was transcribed as “Suite Italienne” for violin and piano by violinist Samuel Dushkin (1891-1976) and Stravinsky in 1933. The music quoted and adopted by seventeenth century Italian Baroque’s composers, such as Giovanni Pergolesi (1710-1736), Domenico Gallo (1730-1768) and so on. It featured in baroque music style and added a unique language of Stravinsky, formed a kind of retro fun and innovative feeling. This music has become a representative for “neoclassical" style of Stravinsky.
First, this interpretation report introduces the life and three periods of musical style of Stravinsky. Second, it also introduces the background of Pulcinella and Suite Italienne, Third, it analyzes the musical form and the piano collaboration on ideas in Suite Italienne, and suggests the way how to practice. Finally, it concludes with the uniqueness and importance of the Suite Italienne in music.
