費德里克‧法蘭斯瓦‧蕭邦(Frédéric François Chopin, 1810-1849),是歷史上最著名亦是最具影響力的作曲家及鋼琴家之一,在音樂史裡佔有最重要的地位,同時也是十九世紀歐洲浪漫主義音樂的代表人物。
蕭邦一生中共做了四首帶有幻想標題的樂曲,最早的是1818年,他年輕時所寫的為鋼琴和管弦樂團的《波蘭歌謠幻想曲》(Fantaisie brillante on Polish Airs in A major, Op.13),此曲一來是年輕時的作品,迎合當時流行的華麗風格並尚未豐富呈現蕭邦的個人特色;二來在編制上是協奏曲形式,故不在筆者討論的範圍內。
蕭邦真正以幻想曲為標題的樂曲為1839年所做的《幻想曲》(Fantasy in F minor, Op.49),此曲也是其一生中唯一一首幻想曲作品;在1845年的《幻想波蘭舞曲》(Polonaise-Fantaisie in A-flat major, Op. 61)中,蕭邦融合了兩種曲式─幻想曲與波蘭舞曲─成為他去世前的傑作之一;蕭邦去世後,1855年《幻想即興曲》(Fantaisie-impromptu, Op.66)出版,並成為蕭邦的作品中最膾炙人口的曲子之一。
筆者將以上述三首帶有「幻想」標題的樂曲為題,討論蕭邦對於幻想曲的概念,思考浪漫樂派的蕭邦心中的幻想特徵。希望能以此詮釋報告,理解知曉蕭邦之幻想概念,並如何應用在其樂曲中,以何種方式表達並獲得效果,三首樂曲之間的關聯與差異,在練習時又能從那些不同面向上觀察與排演。最後的目標即是能將三首樂曲透徹的演奏,讓蕭邦所悉心描繪之音樂傳達到聽者心中。
