This study based on the theory of recreational specialization and designed to examined the level of scuba divers who has been to Green Island to dive in recent three years. By using two methods, multi-evaluation and self-classified, to find out the divers’ specialization level. Furthermore, this study also explores the relationship between specialization and other variables. After coding the data collected from the questionnaire, student t test, one-way ANOVA, Chi-square test and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis are applied. The results are derived as per below:
1.The scuba divers who went dive in Green Island in recent three years mainly are un-married, middle income, college-educated and young male adults.
2.Among the scuba divers who went dive in Green Island in recent three years, casual divers occupied the highest proportion.
3.Male, above 36-year-olds, high-income and married scuba divers possess higher specialization.
4.High specialization scuba divers prefer micro-species, and also are in higher level of experience, certification, satisfaction and self-owned equipment.
