本文以景物與內在的對應來探討,借自然中諸多的物質,找尋與情緒相貼合的質地,加以描繪。例如就水來談,有潭水的沉靜微波,溪水的奔放流動,海水的洶湧涵藏。用淺顯易懂的形體做為溝通的媒介,並著墨於畫中的勁道、速度、氣流等,試圖描繪萬物所蘊含的能量。
行走於自然之中,多次感受到自然中的神性,並在那份美感下深刻體會萬物皆有靈,因此所想描繪都不僅是對唯美風景的追求,而是景物與靈的共鳴流通。用最真誠的方式去描繪,不受拘束的與觀者對談,我想真實的藝術是沒有讓何框架和界線的。
文中也藉由歷代畫作深入探討了畫面的簡化、抽象與純化。自然裡無限生命交織,越是繁複越需純化,物與物之間循著生命道理生長,豐富卻不混亂。在了解自然生長道理後,隨心所欲的應用,理解過後的刪減和增添,能合乎於自然的法度內,並遊走於似與不似之間,符合中國繪畫的中庸性。
This article discusses the relationship between natural scenes and the inner world. We depict the essence and the texture of materials in nature that reflect our feelings. Take water as an example, it could be quiet deep lake, energetic stream flow, or rich turbulent sea. The messages can be delivered by simple but powerful brush strokes: the speed and the flow. We try to depict the energy contained in objects.
I felt the divinity in nature many times when I immersed myself in it. Nature inspired my aesthetic feeling, and I came to realize that everything is spiritual. Therefore, what I would like to depict was not just about the beautiful scenery, but also the resonance between the scenery and the spirit. I wish to depict in the most sincere way, and communicate with viewers honestly. I thought there are no boundaries and framework in real art.
The article also discusses the simplification, abstraction and purification of pictures by comparing historical paintings. Lives intertwine in nature, the more complicated it is so, the more it needs to be purified. There are reasons behind the growth and decline. It’s rich and disciplined. After understating the principle of nature, we can apply the logic at will, which makes the addition and the subtraction of the pictures more natural, and helps us find the balance between the abstract and the realistic presentation. The spirit is in correspondence with the golden mean of Chinese painting.
