本論文主要係探討匈牙利作曲家大衛創作於1950年的《中提琴協奏曲》,這首樂曲雖非演奏會上常見曲目,但在我國學生音樂比賽中,本曲第三樂章是作為自選曲的熱門之選。綜覽西洋古典音樂發展歷史,匈牙利不屬於古典音樂主要流派發展地區,但其多元豐沛的民謠音樂能量,以及長期耕耘的民謠音樂保存與運用,卻對西洋古典音樂在19世紀後半甚至20世紀後的發展,具有相當程度的貢獻。中提琴在匈牙利傳統音樂及匈牙利吉普賽樂隊中,扮演不可或缺的角色,而匈牙利19世紀以降之作曲家如巴爾托克(Bartók Béla, 1881-1945)、柯大宜(Kodály Zoltán, 1882-1967)、大衛(Dávid Gyula, 1913-1977)、羅薩(Rózsa Miklós, 1907-1995)等人,將傳統民謠融入產量豐富的中提琴音樂,使匈牙利的中提琴音樂作品在世界舞台上得以進一步開枝散葉。期盼透過研究分析大衛的《中提琴協奏曲》,剖析民謠的運用手法,並了解中提琴音樂在匈牙利的發展歷程。
