This study intends to combine the nature of resources to investigate the relationship between board network relationships of conglomerate and the growth of business groups. For the difference between resources, we divided the resources gained through connection of network relationships into two types that is property-bases resource and knowledge-based resource. Meanwhile, we’ll investigate how the role of board in a company affect the way it uses its resource. We used data from Taiwanese Top 200 conglomerates as our sample and focus on the network relationships created by the board members to test our theory. The result shows that the intensity of knowledge-based resource connections will enhance the growth of focal firms. Meanwhile, the cooperative role of board will enhance the relationship between the resources brought by board and the growth of focal firm.
