電影產業一直被我國政府視為重要的文化資產,在這數位匯流的時代下,電影產業近年來受到眾多新科技的影響,其中包含了網際網路和數位電視、行動手機等,科技媒體創造出龐大的數位內容,提供電影觀眾許多觀看電影的方式,一般大眾取得影片與放映也變得比以往更加容易,卻也造成電影產業的衰退。2008年由於全球金融風暴的影響,電影產業受到嚴重的衝擊,許多電影院和電影廠商因此倒閉,然而IMAX電影院在全球的數量卻是逆勢成長,此外IMAX電影《阿凡達》的推出也造成電影史上最高票房收入,使電影產業起死回生的重要關鍵因素之一亦是IMAX放映技術以及IMAX電影的出現。本研究目的將探討國內IMAX放映技術在映演環境的現況,以及對國內電影產業所帶來的貢獻與未來發展。本篇研究將利用次級資料分析IMAX放映技術國內外現況、技術應用及國內外相關研究。另外透過深度訪談法,以Porter五力分析與PEST分析做為訪談架構,在深度訪談過程中瞭解並探討IMAX放映技術的關鍵成功因素與阻礙因素,最後以SWOT分析做整體產業環境之評論。由於國內有關IMAX放映技術的相關文獻不足,本研究希望經過整理和分析,能在學術價值上加強傳播科技的演變,並將理論模式學以致用,達到產學合作之目的。此外亦將釐清IMAX放映技術,提供未來該領域研究做為參考,希望能給國內電影業者與一般大眾更深入了解IMAX放映技術在科技匯流的時代之中所擁有的優勢和獨特性,並提出未來發展之建議。
Film industry is always regarded as one important cultural asset in Taiwan. Under the era of digital convergence, film industry has been affected by several new technologies, including Internet, digital TV and mobile phones. Although digital media brings the audiences more accesses to the films, it also makes the whole film industry on the decline. In 2008, film industry suffered serious impact of global financial crisis, and lots of movie theaters and production companies were shut down one by one. However, the number of IMAX theaters worldwide was still growing without getting affected by recession in this period. The IMAX movie “Avatar” has also become the highest-grossing film ever, and broken several box office records during its release. This study will focus on the status quo of IMAX movie projection techniques, the contribution and future development of the film industry in Taiwan. By conducting second data analysis, it is going to analyze the techniques and applications of IMAX movie projection by dealing with the current state of Taiwan and other countries. Moreover, this study uses Porter’s five forces analysis and PEST analysis to be the frame of interview, and discusses the successful factors and constraints of IMAX movie projection techniques by conducting in-depth interviews; finally, making comments of the total film industry with SWOT analysis. This study aims to bring domestic film industry and citizens more understanding about IMAX’s advantages and unique features, and propose suggestions to the future development.
