隨著時代的推演,太陽眼鏡在本質上有很大的變化,它不僅能防護眼睛不讓紫外線過度侵害,太陽眼鏡更發展成大眾的時髦裝飾品。消費形態隨著時代的轉變而不同,消費者不再趨於被動的選購基本需求的產品;因而設計師若能掌握消費者的感受與需求,則其必將設計出更符合消費者需要的產品。
本研究對動物造形在太陽眼鏡上可如何應用做一個新的嘗試與探討,並以此為目標設計出可以加以更替造型之創意太陽眼鏡。首先由文獻中了解眼鏡結構、造型之構成要素與特性,並從市面上流行之名牌太陽眼鏡搜集整理,篩選出符合本研究主題之寬邊邊條太陽眼鏡圖樣,羅列並研究比較其邊框視覺化之設計風格。接著應用「形態視覺化」的方式,透過將動物之造型進行視覺化表現,歸納整理出符合美感之視覺化圖樣並將之應用於太陽眼鏡鏡臂設計。最後可歸納出以下結論:
1.動物造形的視覺化過程就是先「看」,將視覺的訊息在腦中進行思考與轉化,成為「想」,最後把想像的東西再度視覺化,也就是透過「畫」完成整體的動物造型視覺化過程。
2.動物造形在視覺化之基本操作原則朝向「單純化」及「抽象化」兩種方向發展,是透過視覺將外在感知造形轉換成實體結構之成形活動。
3.本研究在動物造形應用於太陽眼鏡之搭配上,以可替換式太陽眼鏡鏡臂圖案之方式,讓太陽眼鏡如同許多時尚手機可替換外殼,藉此提升強化創作商品之異質性風格。

Abstract
The needs for sunglasses have changed a lot in many aspects with the passing of time. In the past, they were used purely to prevent eyes from being hurt by ultraviolet rays, but nowadays they have become fashionable accessories among the public. Thus, the shopping style is different from the past. Today’s consuming behavior is not driven to occur only by basic daily necessity in a passive way, but instead consumers’ feelings and preference need to be taken into consideration in producing sunglasses.
This study takes a first-ever investigation of how animal designs could be applied to sunglasses, and then came up with a newly creative style of sunglasses with rims which are easily replaced. To begin with, the study reviewed the structure and components of glasses in the literature. Second, a collection of branded sunglasses in market was made from which those with wide rims were chosen. Third, the designing styles of the chosen glasses were compared with regard to their rim visualization. Fourth, appropriate animal designs were selected based on their visual presentation. Finally, these selected animal designs were applied to the sunglasses with wide rims. Conclusion of the study is as follows:
(1) The first step in animal visualization is “seeing”. Visual information in the brain is then processed and transformed into thoughts, and that is “thinking”. The final step is concerned with second visualization of images in the mind, and that is “drawing”.
(2) The basic operation of visualizing animal designs tends to be “simple” and “abstract”. It is also a process where visual perception transforms appearance into concrete construction.
(3) The study focuses on the application of animal designs to sunglasses rims which are easily replaced like the coverings on cell phones. This application is expected to display the distinctive style of products.
