This research shall take the Kid’ Electronic Library of Taipei Public Library as an example, to research on the user experience in the Kid’ Electronic Library that is offered by Taiwan Public library, to portray the image of the users in the Kid’ Electronic Library, to explore their using target, motive, preference and characteristics, to learn the behavior and using problems while actually applying the Kid’ Electronic Library, to put forward relative solving suggestions, and to offer references for the future constructions of the Kid’ Electronic Library.
The user experience research method mainly applies interview and usability test in this research, to combine the different orientation methods of qualitative ones and quantitative ones, which can expose the users' experience in the Kid’ Electronic Library more comprehensively and more effectively.
During the research, it shows that the Kid’ Electronic Library of Taipei Public Library failed to research or describe the users more deeply, therefore under the condition of unaware of the users' target, motive, preference and using situation, the website didn't offer good using experience for the users neither in the contents layout nor in the usability. If the users cannot use the website smoothly, let alone the promotion of the children's reading. Therefore in the future construction of the Kid’ Electronic Library, the users should be considered as the core factor while designing, to fit their target, motive, and preference as the design target.
