本研究探究街頭少年的離街歷程為主軸,從中瞭解街頭少年與其成長環境情境之間的交流互動,並瞭解街頭少年離街過程的脈絡。採用質性研究方法,針對十位有離街經驗的街頭少年進行深度訪談,研究者更進入田野參與觀察,收集少年離街歷程的相關資料。最初,藉由少年個別的街頭歷程以進入其生命之中,分析少年的街頭生活,和街頭生活型態的改變過程。接續,研究者將少年離街歷程分為四個階段、兩個時期:進入街頭生活、離街選擇的產生、再返回街頭、成功的離開,街頭生活期間、街頭生活型態改變期間。從離街歷程的各階段/時期進行討論,瞭解少年的街頭生活經驗。從抑制理論探討少年離街,或再返回街頭的力量。從少年街頭生活型態的改變過程中,瞭解街頭少年的個別經驗。最後,研究者提出以多元角度看待街頭的議題。討論家庭、社會工作者和其他重要支持系統如何發揮功能,影響少年離街歷程的選擇和執行的可行性。研究建議部分除了針對後續研究提出建議,加強社會大眾的新觀念建構,更依據少年的離街歷程分別提供預防性服務、積極性介入處遇、個案管理或倡導等,極力為街頭少年的權益發聲。
This study aims at exploring the process of street-leaving among street youths. The researcher uses qualitative research methods to carry out in-depth interviews with 10 young men who have had street experience in the past. The researcher also participates in field observation to collect information regarding the juveniles’ street-leaving process. Initially, the researcher takes part in the juveniles’ lives by studying their individual street processes, and by analyzing their street life and the process of street life style change. Furthermore, the researcher divides the juveniles’ leaving street process into four stages: entering street life, opting to leave the street, returning to the streets, and leaving the streets successfully. The researcher then divides street life into two periods: period of leaving the street and period of street life style change. We can understand the juveniles’ street life experiences through each stage and period. Applying the containment theory, we can also discuss the causes of leaving the street, or the forces that make them to return to the streets. Through the process of street life style change, we can understand the individual experiences of street youths. Finally, the researcher puts forward multi-perspective of street issues to discuss how families, social workers and other important supporting systems exert their functions to affect the juveniles’ selection of street-leaving process and the feasibility of implementation. To conclude, the study makes recommendations for further research on strengthening and constructing the community's new concept. Moreover, the researcher also proposes that by providing preventive services, enthusiasm intervention, case management, and advocacy, to respective juveniles according to their street experience, we can further promote the rights of street youth at our best effort.
