身兼二胡演奏家、作曲家、教育家的許可1960年出生於南京,1978年考取中央音樂學院,求學期間對於西方音樂抱持很大的學習熱忱,看見西方音樂的流傳廣泛後,思考起如何讓二胡走向世界舞台的理念,於1988年遠赴日本攻讀研究生並努力實踐自身音樂理念,在日期間許可致力於二胡教學與演出、樂曲創作與唱片發行。筆者在求學期間接觸到許可創作的《風韻》,引起筆者研究的動機,期盼能為許可的音樂理念留下可茲參考的文獻。
在進行文獻資料回顧部分,由於文獻數量不多,主要以期刊、電視專訪、許可演奏影音為主,筆者透過僅有的文獻資料,將其歸納出許可生平與求學歷程、音樂理念與音樂創作,再以許可創作樂曲《風韻》與《思念》兩首進行樂曲曲式和旋律分析,以及創作背景、手法與演奏影音文獻的分析與研究。
透過以上文獻統整與分析結果得知,許可帶著將二胡推向世界舞台的理念至日本,筆者發現二胡目前在日本發展現況,大眾對二胡的接納、認知度,相較於許可旅日時期已提升許多,證實許可的音樂理念加上後續多位旅日音樂家對二胡的推廣,是成功實踐的;另外筆者還發現,為了演奏移植西方樂曲而改革的二胡演奏技法,也實際運用於許可創作樂曲中,讓二胡的演奏風格不再侷限於傳統。希冀此論文能提供日後研究者成為參考資料,也為推廣二胡藝術上盡一份心力。
Xu Ke, an erhu performer, composer, and educator was born in Nanjing in 1960. He was enrolled at China’s Central Conservatory of Music in 1978 and during his student years, he developed an ardent passion for learning Western music. After bearing witness to the rising popularity of Western music, Xu Ke began to ponder how he could bring the erhu into the global spotlight. In 1988, he pursued his graduate studies in Japan and worked hard to put his musical ideas into practice while investing much effort in teaching and playing the erhu, composing musical pieces, and releasing albums. The author of this study was first exposed to Xu Ke’s composition Wind and Rhythm as a student, prompting interest to conduct this study. This study is expected to serve as a reference and testament to Xu Ke’s musical concepts.
Regarding the literature review, not much information regarding Xu Ke is available in academic journals. Therefore, this study mainly collected periodicals featuring Xu Ke, television interviews, as well as his performances. By consolidating the existing information and literature, the author described Xu Ke’s background, education, musical concepts, and compositions. Then, the author analyzed the forms and melodies of two Xu Ke arrangements, “Wind and Rhythm” and “Think of” and further explored and interpreted the creation processes, methodology, and performances described in the existing literature.
Based on the consolidated literature and the resulting analysis, Xu Ke spread his musical influence internationally through the use of his erhu, reaching as far as Japan. Compared to previous ventures as a traveling musician in Japan, this author observed a marked improvement towards the reception and recognition of his music. This demonstrates that Xu Ke’s musical concepts, aided by the increased influence by traveling musicians in Japan making use of the erhu, have been realized. Moreover, the author notes that Xu Ke brought innovation to the playing of the erhu by performing Western pieces, in turn influencing his compositions. In so doing, Xu Ke successfully broadened the range of erhu performance styles from its original traditional Chinese style. This study is expected to serve as a reference for scholars in the future, as well as a contribution to the promotion of erhu music.
