本研究詮釋報告為音樂劇《人人都在談論傑米》男主角傑米.紐之研究與探討。本研究共分七個章節。第一章為緒論,闡述筆者之研究動機、問題與研究架構;第二章為《人人都在談論傑米》創作背景探討,包括研究變裝皇后歷史、性少數族群現況、故事依據之紀錄片《傑米:十六歲的變裝皇后》介紹;第三章為《人人都在談論傑米》劇本分析,整理事件、角色、與紀錄片之差異以及劇本探討之議題;第四章為男主角傑米.紐之角色分析,透過其表演特色風格、與其他角色之互動關係,分析其內在情緒與外在行為;第五章為傑米.紐所演唱曲目之分析,分別為〈And You Don’t Even Know It〉、〈The Wall in My Head〉、〈Spotlight (reprise )〉、〈Ugly in This Ugly World〉、〈And You Don’t Even Know It (reprise.) 〉、〈My man, Your boy〉、〈Out of the Darkness(A Place Where We Belong)〉七首歌;第六章為本研究之總結。
This report is a study of the protagonist in the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, focusing on the analysis and interpretation of the leading male roles, Jamie New. The report includes six chapters. In Chapter One, it contains about the motivation , the questions author wants to know and the structure of this report. In Chapter Two , it will be the research of the background of the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie , include the culture of Drag Queens and the transgenders, the documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16, which is the resource that the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamieadapted from. In the Chapter Three, it would be the analysis of the script of the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, includes the story would how to be tell, the structure, and differences between the documentary and the musical. In Chapter Four, it will be the analysis of the leading male role, Jamie New, include the way he act, how he feel, and the relationship between other roles. In Chapter Five, it would be the analysis of the song Jamie had sung in the musical, include “And You Don’t Even Know It” , ”The Wall in My Head” , “Spotlight (reprise )” , “Ugly in This Ugly World” , “And You Don’t Even Know It (reprise.) “ , “My man, Your boy” , “Out of the Darkness(A Place Where We Belong)”. The last Chapter is the conclusions.
